A.) the picture is beautiful. I believe Ballet is the most graceful of all dances. It's a shame I never learned it and I could never start. I just don't have the body for it.
Though I love to dance, to any and all music. It's freedom in a beat.

Dancing is my life, I love it dearly and I can't even imagine not doing it every day.
I encourage you to dance as much as you can, it's liberating.

Liberating! Yes, that is the word I look for when I move my hips to the beat of my music. Shakira is playing right now and I'm feeling really sultry... *grins* yeah...
I envy you for knowing such a wonderful dance that combines so many of the ancient ones together. Graceful and languistic, it can tell a story, it can whisper secrets and cry out passion. I love to watch it when I can, I have yet to go to a live concert. *gets all dreamy eyed* I'm not rich enough to pay for one on my own yet.
Now before I wring your ear off with my ramblings, english metaphors and terrible spelling, I shall go and continue to cook dinner.

I started ballet classes when I was 5, so I've been dancing for over 16 years. It comes natural now but it wasn't always like that.
I really had to work for it.
And don't worry, I quite like ramblings.
Mmm dinner *is hungry like whoa*.

O.O wow. I've always heard the Ballet is even more competive than most sports if you want to make your way to the top.
See, when I wanted to start ballet when I was super little, I was already to old for the class. The sad thing was, I only tried once and gave up after that. I took up tap-dancing instead, that lasted until I was required to go on stage. I had extreme stage fright back then, course now I could care less, being a drama student. And I still have not yet gone back to it. I like to make up my own, and the dances I learned in school kept me going too. I'm sure, one day when I'm rich cuz now I'm poor, I'll take another class. Maybe jazz and hip-hop. That would be cool.
Uh-oh spaghetto! I'm having dinner soon too. Speaking of which... hehehe.

You don't have to be young to start ballet. In my class there are a few girls that didn't start dancing until there early teens. And they are doing well enough.

*jots down e-mail*
I must say though, I have very limited time the up coming months, with rehearsal and classical and modern ballet practice and then work too. My life is really hectic right now. And I mustn't forget to socialize with my family. But I will send you an e-mail.

*glares, disgruntled in defeat* FINE. I'll admit it, because you keep telling me it's still possible, I'm LAZY and prefer to sit in front of my computer and write or walk around in a beautiful forest or dance my own kind boogy to any random song. *sighs* I'm sorry, I just gave up on it so long ago and have picked up so many other interests, and I know how much time it takes up. With school right now, and failing math, I don't think I could take any kind of dance class. Even if I had the money and the car.
I find my freedom in the stories I write and the crazy, unprofessional way that I dance to all different kinds of music. The Platters to Metallica, baby. And everything inbetween. The kitchen in my dance floor. *grins* Boo-yeah.
I just watched Shrek the Third. It's fast paced and has a terrible story line, but it was funny as hell and even more subtle adult jokes! I loved it. Have you seen it yet? Probably, living in Europe, you guys get everything first. Us Canadians have to wait until it's cheap enough to show up in our theatres. Yeah, so we're penny-pinchers. It's a good thing, believe me. Why else do you think we attract all those wonderful immigrants and political refugees that don't bother to learn our language then complain about feeling isolated? It makes our country colourful, what can I say? Can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em. *giggles* I know, not all of them are like that, a few of my friends are such victims, but at least they decided to learn our language.
How did I get to THAT topic? Sometimes I wonder about myself.
Anyways! Do take your time, I have to remind myself sometimes that other people DO have lives. I will be content with the intention and the eventual promise. ^^
*sniffs, looks towards kitchen* Woo, it's that time of day again, I can tell. *stomach growls* Heh. Okay, I'm going to go help with dinner now. I really enjoy talking to you, most people I try with on LJ just get annoyed cuz I keep talking to them. ^^ Hence the excess rambling. But that's me and I can't help it. I love talking to people! AHH! *gets dragged towards kitchen* Now I really have to go, hope to hear from you again soon!

As if!! Believe me we really don't get everything first. Belgium is not that up to date when it comes to foreign shows or soaps. I probably won't go see Shrek, knowing my brother he'll buy it the minute it comes out on DVD.

*laughs evily(sp?)* haha!
I'm sorry. I thought Belgium was tourist country and therefore, you know what, nvm, I know everything about North and South America, I know the early history of Europe with no details, so I don't think I should say anything. I'll probably just bring up some old stereotypes.
Come to think of it,I forgot that Dreamworks makes it, so that's not exactly in Europe, it's somewhere in the U.S. (bastards) I can't help but curse them, sorry. First country that gets it is the country it was made in, so yeah...
What was I talking about?
Maybe I should go.

Are you an amateur or professional dancer?

I love ballet, it's freedom, happiness and feeling like a princess all at once. I danced en pointe for a while, loved that too, I still have my (don't know what it is in English) spitzen.

Flemish is Vlaams, toch?
sloane_hd From: sloane_hd Date: August 11th, 2007 01:42 pm (UTC) (Link)
I wouldn't call myself a professional but still. I've been dancing since I was 5 and I'm 22 now so that's a long time. I started pointe ballet when I was 11. Though ballet is my life I didn't choose it as an actual career.

Ja hoor, Flemish is Vlaams.

Dacht ik wel.

I started ballet when I was 6? 7? I'm 18 and still love doing it. Although I don't have the discipline to dance every day. I do modern and jazz ballet. I, too, started pointe ballet at age 11, at 12 my ankle gave out and I'm not allowed to start again. Pity, I loved it. I still have my spitzen. They're like a symbol: "if you could do this, you can do anything"

Right, friending you, if you don't mind.
sloane_hd From: sloane_hd Date: August 11th, 2007 03:59 pm (UTC) (Link)
Sorry to hear about your ankle. I do modern ballet too! I really wanted to do jazz too but I was already doing modern and classical and I was doing hockey so I didn't have the time. I had to drop hockey too because I just didn't have time for schoolwork anymore.
I feel for you, I completely understand. I wouldn't know what to do if I couldn't dance anymore. I do it every day even now that I'm in the UK with my grandparents I have my pointes (spitzen) with me.

By all means, friend away!
